Somos un cachito de vida. Suspiros. Reflejos. Momentos.
Somos historia y presente.
Instantes.
Somos flashazos.
Somos irónicamente etéreos y eternos.
Somos la belleza y el orgullo; los contrastes.
Somos la taraceada de raíces y esperanzas.
Somos así, entre todos, con las luces y sombras, la obra completa.
Hoy somos los mosaicos de la belleza latina y transfronteriza… hispana por herencia y migrante por definición.
En Conecta Arizona creemos que cada imagen y cada palabra que compartimos nace desde la raíz de saber quiénes somos y lo mucho que nos sostiene la profundidad de las tierras en las que nacimos y las que adoptamos. Por eso hoy estamos muy orgullosos de presentar “Mosaicos”, un acercamiento a la belleza migrante, latina y transfronteriza que enmarca el desafiante desierto de Sonora.
“Mosaicos” es un recorrido por nuestra identidad migrante, un homenaje a nuestros rostros y nuestros colores, a los sabores y dolores, a los olores y a los recuerdos que nos hacen vibrar y los atraviesan en este paso por la frontera. Y lo vivimos con todos los sentidos.
Este es un proyecto que retrata la unión de fragmentos de vida, cultura y memoria, ensamblados con respeto, empatía y dignidad para mostrar que en nuestra diversidad está nuestra fuerza. Estas fotografías, acompañadas por textos, prosas, poemas y voces de periodistas, escritores, artistas y miembros de la comunidad, construyen un puente entre generaciones y geografías, entre pasado y presente, entre lo que somos y lo que éramos soñando ser.

“Mosaicos” es una serie de ensayos fotográficos liderado por nuestro director de arte, Daniel Robles, y las letras bajo la pluma y mirada de una servidora. Con la colaboración del reconocido fotógrafo mexicano Betto Robles y los escritos de diferentes autores de Estados Unidos, México, Uruguay y Venezuela. Nos acercamos juntos a la intimidad del ballet, el maquillaje, la tinta, la comida, la música, la identidad y los muchos desiertos que cruzamos entrelíneas.
Lo lanzamos justo hoy, el día que comienzan las Fiestas Patrias mexicanas y el Mes de la Hispanidad porque queremos celebrar también que en tiempos de resistencia, florecemos a través del arte.
“Mosaicos” es un llamado a visibilizar lo invisible y a abrazar con toda la fuerza que nos da la historia y la cultura el mosaico humano que somos.
Prepárate para dejarte atravesar, para emocionarte y para mirar más allá de la frontera. Porque en cada imagen hay una historia nuestra, contada desde adentro, con la verdad y el corazón que solo nosotros podemos hacer latir hasta desbordarse en ojos llenos de agua y pechos a puntos de explotar de alegría.

Mosaics: An approach to the beauty of Latin culture
We are a little piece of life. Sighs. Reflections. Moments.
We are history and the present.
Instants.
We are flashes.
We are ironically ethereal and eternal.
We are beauty and pride; contrasts.
We are the inlay of roots and hopes.
We are like this, all together, with lights and shadows, the complete work.
Today we are the mosaics of Latin and cross-border beauty… Hispanic by heritage and migrant by definition.
At Conecta Arizona, we believe that every image and every word we share comes from the root of knowing who we are and how much we are sustained by the depth of the lands where we were born and those we have adopted. That is why today we are very proud to present “Mosaics,” an approach to migrant, Latin, and cross-border beauty that frames the challenging Sonoran Desert.
“Mosaicos” is a journey through our migrant identity, a tribute to our faces and our colors, to the flavors and pains, to the smells and memories that make us vibrate and cross the border. And we experience it with all our senses.
This is a project that portrays the union of fragments of life, culture, and memory, assembled with respect, empathy, and dignity to show that our strength lies in our diversity. These photographs, accompanied by texts, prose, poems, and voices of journalists, writers, artists, and community members, build a bridge between generations and geographies, between past and present, between who we are and who we dreamed of being.
“Mosaicos” is a series of photographic essays led by our art director, Daniel Robles, and the words penned and viewed by yours truly. With the collaboration of renowned Mexican photographer Betto Robles and writings by different authors from the United States, Mexico, Uruguay, and Venezuela, we come together to explore the intimacy of ballet, makeup, ink, food, music, identity, and the many deserts we cross between the lines.
We are launching it today, the day that marks the beginning of the Mexican Fiestas Patrias and Hispanic Heritage Month, because we also want to celebrate that in times of resistance, we flourish through art.
“Mosaicos” is a call to make the invisible visible and to embrace the human mosaic that we are with all the strength that history and culture give us. Get ready to let yourself be moved, to be excited, and to look beyond the border. Because in each image there is a story of ours, told from within, with the truth and the heart that only we can make beat until it overflows into eyes full of tears and hearts about to burst with joy.
